Do you offer conversational classes?

Yes, book a private, 1-on-1 class. We will talk about anything that interests you. I will gently correct any pronunciation or grammar errors. If I need to, I will explain the English rules so that you understand. I will encourage you to talk a lot! You will also have to listen and ask me questions like a normal conversation. If you have something specific that you would like to practice talking about, we can do that too. Of course, I will be helping you the entire time.

What suggestions do you have for me to improve my English outside of class?

Read! Read! Read! Reading books is the best way to improve grammar, vocabulary, and spelling all at the same time. Read aloud to strengthen the tongue muscle in English. Find a public library near you. Libraries are a GREAT free resource. Also, join any club or group in English that interests you and meets regularly. This will give you an opportunity to use your English.

Can I improve my pronunciation?

Yes! Often, there are sounds that exist in English that do not exist in other languages. Learning how to make these new sounds is an important part of communicating well. Book a 1-on-1, private class to work with me for better pronunciation.

What hours do you teach?

I am available from Monday to Friday for private, 1-on-1 classes. After you book a class, you will be able to choose the time on my schedule that works best for you. The email that you will receive will say the time in CENTRAL TIME ZONE because that is where I live.

What if I do not speak any English?

That is okay! We will start from the very basics. We will learn more vocabulary and grammar as we go. Start with UNIT 0: basic vocabulary, or UNIT 1: the verb "to be".

What time zone are you in?

Central Time Zone! I live in Texas. Please keep that in mind when you book your classes. The confirmation email will include the time in Central Time Zone.

I booked a class. What do I do next?

When you book a private, one-on-one class, you will receive an email from englishdaisytutoring@gmail.com with the link for the class. (You may have to check your junk email.) You will receive a new email and a new link for each class. Please keep in mind that the time on the email will be in the Central Time Zone. Make sure you have Zoom available on your device.

When you buy an English Course, you will have daily homework and assignments. You will log onto the website and do your homework. You are welcome to join Trish online during her Office hours to ask about the lessons.

Are the classes online?

Yes, all the classes are online with Zoom. Please have Zoom installed on your computer. You may use your phone, but the audio is better on a computer. The screen is also larger and easier to read. Find a quiet place to take the class so we can hear each other well. Sit close to the Wi-Fi for a strong internet connection.

How many classes do you recommend?

I recommend starting with 1 English Course. This is an affordable option to learn a lot! If you enjoy the learning style, you can purchase the next English Course. There will be 12 English Courses for beginner English. Each English Course takes 4 weeks to complete.

If you want to focus on your pronunciation or want specific instruction, I recommend 1-on-1 classes. Start with 1 class. Ask me about a discount for following classes.

How much does a class cost?

Group classes cost $53.99/UNIT. A UNIT includes daily homework, 4 LIVE Zoom classes with Trish, and additional written and video instruction. This is a very affordable price for 4 weeks of learning!

Private, 1-on-1 classes cost $53.99/class. Each class is 55 minutes. I recommend buying a package of 10 classes for a discounted price of $485.91.

Do I need to buy anything else?

No, but I recommend a notebook and pen for taking notes. If you have access to a printer at home, that is useful.

Will I have lots of homework?

For the 1-on-1 classes, you can choose if you want homework or not. I understand that people are busy and do not always have time for homework. However, doing homework after class helps you learn faster and remember what you learned. I will always send our chat box from class in an email. I will include homework in the email if you want.

English courses include daily homework to help you remember and practice what is being learned. Daily homework only takes a few minutes each day. Log into your account on the website for daily homework, videos, and vocabulary. Everything can be done online.

Do you administer a test to determine the student's current English level?

No, I listen to the student and we practice what they need. I keep "the level" in mind and we progress as needed. For me, English is more than just certain levels. If someone has the highest level but lacks the confidence to speak, what good is that?

For individual lessons, is it possible to have four classes a month, that is, one session per week?

Of course. This is what I recommend. Students choose the schedule that best suits them within my availability.

Do you issue invoices?

Normally, no. But the student can request an invoice and it will be emailed.
